ABOUT US
Our Story: The Roots of AC Concepts
It all began in a park in Covina, California, where a father and son—Angelo and AJ—turned daily training into a ritual. Their tools? Kenpo, boxing, Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, and functional strength. Their gym? The grass and pavement of Wingate Park.
They weren’t just training; they were experimenting—teaching, filming, and exploring how movement could create strength that mattered in the real world.
Every day, their focus remained simple and consistent:
• Build strength that matters
• Develop movement that lasts
• Cultivate a mindset that thrives
Then the world changed. COVID-19 hit. Gyms closed. Life paused. But their training didn’t stop. The park became a sanctuary. And soon, others from diverse activities joined
• Matt L., A boxer with no gym and a fierce drive to train
• Shawn H., a former high school football standout, eager to maintain his competitive edg
• Alex C., A professional drummer and fitness enthusiast
• Ryan P., a heavy metal musician who needed toughness, resilience, and durability to perform night after night in the chaos of the “mosh pit"
They adapted once more—hosting online Martial Arts seminars via Zoom for martial artists and fitness enthusiasts worldwide. And when the world reopened, they hit the road: visiting dojos, learning from diverse disciplines, testing what worked, and refining what didn’t.
After years of evolving, AC Concepts was born: a training philosophy—and a performance gym—built around one core mission: movement that works—on the field, on the stage, on the street, and in life.
At ACPerformance.ca, we blend science, martial discipline, and real-world functionality to help people:
• Perform at their peak
• Build sustainable strength
• Move with confidence at any age
Whether you’re an athlete striving for the next level, a martial artist refining your craft, or someone determined to live with strength and resilience—we’re here to train with purpose.
